23 April 2024 | 13:00 - 18:00 CEST | OECD Conference Centre
The Blue Dot Network (BDN) Executive Consultation Group (ECG) convened over 80 global infrastructure experts at the OECD in Paris for a dynamic exchange on the future of trusted infrastructure investment. This gathering reinforced the growing momentum behind the BDN and the critical importance of transparent data on project quality and risk mitigation to support informed decision-making across the infrastructure lifecycle.
A key milestone of the meeting was the announcement of the ECG’s new Chair and Vice Chair, Philippe Valahu and Christopher Reeves. Their leadership will be instrumental in mobilising the ECG’s diverse community of investors, developers and contractors committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
Participants engaged in substantive discussions on scaling up the BDN’s global reach, including:
• Expanding and diversifying the project pipeline;
• Enhancing outreach to both public and private stakeholders;
• Accelerating the digital transformation of the certification process;
• Strengthening the ecosystem of accredited partners.
The meeting also featured insights from three thematic workstreams, each led by ECG members:
• Enhancing Infrastructure Resilience – Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI)
• Quality Infrastructure Procurement – Acciona
• Applying Artificial Intelligence in Infrastructure – Infraclear
The BDN Secretariat expresses its sincere appreciation to all participants, as well as to our independent verification partners – SGS, Bureau Veritas and Ricardo – whose expertise is essential to delivering a credible and trusted certification.
The energy and expertise on display throughout the ECG reaffirmed the value of this unique platform. As we look ahead, the BDN remains focused on advancing a shared vision for infrastructure that is transparent, resilient and built to last.
The Executive Consultation Group (ECG) is a community of over 200 business, civil society and trade union leaders who have supported the development of the Blue Dot Network. The meeting was the occasion to discuss strategies for the global take-up of the Blue Dot Network.
